Campaign idea: Charlotte is training to teach
Once a young carer who had never stepped on a yacht, Charlotte has now sailed thousands of miles and is training to teach.
This story
Charlotte first sailed offshore at thirteen while supporting her family as a young carer. She went on to train as a volunteer crew member, sailing nearly seven thousand miles from the Canary Islands to Scotland and racing in the Fastnet. That experience inspired her to finish a geography degree and begin training to become a secondary school teacher.
