After retiring, Ben began to feel isolated, rarely leaving the house apart from work and football matches. His monitoring officer suggested he attend a Tuesday coffee morning at a leisure centre, where he quickly connected with people. He now attends twice a week for exercising, socialising and bingo, and is looking to join further local groups.
