Campaign idea: Ben worked his way back to teaching
After severe depression and the risk of homelessness, Ben found community and worked his way back into teaching.
This story
Ben moved from Hungary to the UK in 2005 to teach, but after a relationship breakdown he faced severe depression and the threat of homelessness. In October 2022 he moved into Emmaus Hertfordshire, where he found companionship and worked in their shop. He has since secured a job as a learning support teacher and received the keys to his own council flat.
