After leaving nursing and struggling to support her daughter, Becky found her footing mentoring other parents navigating additional needs.
This story
Becky gave up her nursing career due to her own health needs while facing struggles parenting her daughter, who has complex additional needs. After battling low self-confidence, she began volunteering in 2022 to advise other parents caring for children with additional needs. She has since organised local autism acceptance events and spoken publicly to professionals and families about overcoming early challenges.
