Campaign idea: Aziza supported grieving callers
Aziza balanced five children, social work studies and an NHS job while volunteering to support grieving callers on a helpline.
This story
After working on the hospital frontline during the pandemic, Aziza began training to support bereaved people in November 2020. Alongside raising five children, studying social work and working for the NHS, she answered support emails and took helpline shifts. In 2021, both her university and the charity named her volunteer of the year.
