Campaign idea: Angela stays active and works full time

Told she might not live past 30, Angela now manages short bowel syndrome while working full time and staying active.

This story

As a teenager in the late 1980s, Angela lost 30cm of bowel during emergency surgery and was diagnosed with severe Crohn's disease. After a second resection in 2014, she developed short bowel syndrome, resulting in nerve and muscle complications, weight loss and an extremely restricted diet. Today she works full time as a health and social care researcher, stays active through running and swimming, and contributes her patient experience to medical research.
