In December 2016, Amanda was diagnosed with advanced head and neck cancer. She became one of 20 people worldwide to take part in a clinical trial testing a new drug alongside radiotherapy and chemotherapy. She received the all-clear the following autumn, returned to work, and has since raised thousands of pounds for cancer care.
