Campaign idea: Alistair helps other men talk
After surviving two suicide attempts, Alistair found a men's group and now facilitates meetings to help other men talk.
This story
Alistair struggled with his mental health for several years and attempted suicide twice, the second time in August 2019. Persuaded by his mother and supported by a friend who came along for three months, he joined a peer support group in Huddersfield. Talking openly with other men helped him get his life back on track, and he now serves as a group facilitator.
