After losing both parents, Alison began volunteering at the hospice that supported them and unexpectedly found love again.
This story
Alison lost her father in 2014 and her mother in 2016, both cared for at home by hospice nurses. In 2017, she began volunteering on the hospice reception and later accessed bereavement counselling. While volunteering, she reconnected with an old friend, Bryan, following the death of his wife, and the two later became a couple.
