Campaign idea: Alex got strangers talking in cafes

Feeling lonely on maternity leave, Alex wondered what would happen if strangers shared cafe tables. Today hundreds do.

This story

While on maternity leave in 2016, Alex sat in a cafe feeling lonely and noticed other isolated customers sitting by themselves. She realised sharing a table could help people connect, so she set up a website and encouraged cafes to designate chatter and natter tables. The movement has since grown to include hundreds of venues and hundreds of volunteers across the UK.

What your brand could do

Supply the tea and coffee for chatter and natter tables across the country. Host a celebration for the volunteers.
