Campaign idea: Adam cycled from London to Paris
Told he might never walk after a stage lift crushed his leg, Adam fought his way back to theatre and long-distance cycling.
This story
In 2007, Adam sustained a severe leg injury when he was caught in a malfunctioning hydraulic lift during a musical performance in London. Clinicians initially warned he might never walk again, but following multiple operations, skin grafts and months of rehabilitation, he returned to the stage. Still living with nerve damage and constant pain, he later completed cycle rides from London to Brighton and London to Paris to support the service that helped save his leg.
