Make content about: Veronica reads to children online
Veronica worried she was too out of touch to volunteer online, but now she reads stories to children over video calls.
This story
Veronica began her career as a children's librarian in the 1970s and later worked as a proofreader. After spotting an advert, she worried she was too old to handle the technology and lacked the physical strength to carry books to homes in person. She opted for online volunteering and now reads regularly over video calls to three children.
Where you could take it
Sit down with Veronica as she prepares for an online reading session to talk about her love of children's books and staying connected.
