Make content about: Tim turned an alley into a garden

Tim thought living in a terraced house meant he could never garden. Then he helped turn a disused alleyway into a vegetable patch.

This story

Living in a terraced house in Manchester with a paved yard, Tim assumed he had no space to garden until he joined neighbours to clear an unmanaged alleyway in 2018. The shared space grew from potted shrubs to council-funded raised vegetable beds that supply fresh produce for local families. The project inspired Tim to take on a quarter-plot allotment, where he now grows 25 edible crops using animal-free and no-dig methods.
