Make content about: Tia survived leukaemia

Diagnosed with leukaemia at four, Tia survived multiple relapses but faces lasting physical damage from adult cancer treatments.

This story

Tia was diagnosed with leukaemia at age four and underwent years of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiotherapy, and transplants through repeated relapses. The adult cancer drugs saved her life but caused nerve damage, memory problems, and disrupted her growth. Now thirteen, Tia uses a wheelchair much of the time while her mother Shaima campaigns for treatments designed for children.

Where you could take it

Sit down with Tia and Shaima at home to talk about their experiences and what needs to change in childhood cancer treatments.
