Make content about: Tegan found community on the water
Diagnosed with blood cancer at 18, Tegan struggled with fatigue and isolation until a sailing trip connected her with others who understood.
This story
Tegan was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma during her first year of university and underwent treatment after being transferred to Leeds. Years later, working in a demanding job while dealing with fertility treatment and lingering fatigue, she felt isolated because her friends could not understand the after-effects. Joining a sailing trip in Largs gave her space to rest and connect with peers who shared similar experiences.
