Make content about: Tash found escape at the cinema

Surgery for throat cancer took Tash's voice box. Cinema visits during recovery helped her feel like herself again.

This story

Tash had life-saving throat cancer surgery that removed her voice box, leaving her unable to speak and adapting to a new way of breathing. During a month in hospital, attending the on-site cinema gave her a break from being a patient and allowed her family to spend time together off the ward. She is now home and cancer-free, communicating with a whiteboard while working to find her voice.

Where you could take it

Visit Tash at home to see how she communicates using her whiteboard and hear about her recovery.
