Make content about: Tara is running London again

A decade after running for her premature daughter, Tara is taking on the London Marathon for family affected by dystonia.

This story

After Tara's younger cousin Shannon was diagnosed with dystonia, her family discovered the gene had been passed down through generations to her brother and sister. Both siblings made the difficult choice to undergo fertility treatment with genetic screening to avoid passing the condition to their children. Ten years after running her first marathon for her premature daughter, Tara is returning to the course to support her family.
