Make content about: He built a new life in the UK
After surviving conversion therapy and violence in Colombia, a gay man sought asylum in the UK to finally live openly.
This story
Growing up in Colombia, he was subjected to religious conversion therapy, cast out by his family at seventeen, and physically assaulted for his sexuality. Seeking survival, he fled to the UK and navigated a distressing asylum process while facing the threat of isolation. After receiving permission to remain, he went to university in the UK and now lives freely with his partner.
