Make content about: A student is training to help others

Gambling was an escape from childhood trauma. Now in recovery, a university student is training to support others.

This story

After childhood abuse and bereavement, gambling became an escape that made it hard to afford rent and daily essentials. Through residential treatment and therapy, they came to terms with past trauma and stopped gambling. Gordon Moody helped them secure a council flat, and they have now entered their second year of psychology at university while working as a support worker.

Where you could take it

Meet them at university to talk about studying psychology and how their own recovery shapes their work as a support worker.
