Make content about: A prison officer picked up a needle
A prison officer sent to observe a quilting group picked up a needle, and is now stitching a blanket for his son.
This story
Asked to sit in on a prison stitching group as part of his duties, he decided to try making a pillow rather than just observe. He now runs the weekly group and is working towards an accredited quiltmaking qualification, creating a woodland-themed blanket for his son.
Where you could take it
Sit down with him as he finishes the woodland blanket for his son and talks about leading the group.
