Make content about: Emily and Tori found independence

Sisters Emily and Tori needed 24-hour support. Moving into their own flats gave them independence, swimming friends, and regular disco nights.

This story

Emily and Tori both have complex needs requiring 24-hour support, but their parents wanted them to avoid residential care and live with independence. In 2016, after years of planning, the sisters moved into their own flats at a supported living service in Tunbridge Wells. Emily now swims twice weekly, where fellow swimmers are learning Makaton to communicate with her, while Tori regularly dances at themed nightclub nights.
