Sara joined Cafe Connect in 2023 to practice her English and understand local culture after moving to the UK. Although fairly fluent, she struggled with local phrasing and felt upset after being told at work that she was not a good team player. Through group sessions and one-to-one volunteer support, she worked through the cultural differences, settled into her job, and received recognition from her employer for her hard work.
