Make content about: Sam created a new disability symbol

Sam was repeatedly told he was not disabled enough. Now his inclusive accessibility symbol is displayed across more than 1,000 venues.

This story

Sam lives with DiGeorge Syndrome alongside the long-term effects of a childhood brain tumour and cancer treatment. After being challenged over using accessible spaces because his disability was not visible, he set out to create a symbol that reflects non-visible conditions. He organised a student design competition and has rolled out the winning design across hundreds of venues in Gloucestershire.
