Make content about: Russell speaks up for fellow residents

After a marriage breakdown left sports coach Russell homeless, he rebuilt his life and began advocating for fellow residents.

This story

Russell worked for 14 years as a primary school sports coach before a separation after 26 years of marriage left him homeless. Entering supported housing helped him address an alcohol dependency and move into accommodation closer to his family and work. He now acts as a representative for other residents, speaking up on their behalf and helping organise shared meals.

Where you could take it

Cook a communal meal with Russell and hear about his work representing fellow residents in supported housing.
