Make content about: Phil and Jan preserve sound archives
Phil and Jan intended to volunteer separately to escape each other, but ended up preserving local sound archives together.
This story
After retiring and caring for family, Phil and Jan were encouraged by their daughter to get involved in community volunteering. Hoping to give each other a weekly break, they applied to work on separate days at the Museum Collection Centre. Instead, they ended up volunteering together, listening to and transcribing oral history recordings of local people.
Where you could take it
