Make content about: Paula brings new mothers together
Paula brings isolated new mothers together for a weekly walk and coffee, replacing lonely days with fresh air and understanding friends.
This story
For new mothers facing isolation on a new housing estate, a weekly push along group offers a chance to get out and connect. A group of about six meets on Wednesday mornings to walk a couple of kilometres round a local track with their prams, followed by coffee or a picnic. The session gives mothers a safe space to share advice on weaning and teething, get exercise, and make lasting friends. The group began during lockdown when parent groups and healthcare visits were shut down.
Where you could take it
Join Paula and the mothers for a Wednesday morning walk around the track with prams, followed by coffee and conversation at the bistro.
