Make content about: Paul volunteers at Refresh Café

After leaving a hostile marriage with nowhere to go, Paul rebuilt his life in Belfast and now volunteers at a local cafe.

This story

When his 20-year marriage broke down, Paul packed a bag and left, moving between a friend's sofa and three Belfast hostels where he felt unsafe. East Belfast Mission helped him into supported housing and later into a home of his own. With regular mental health support, he overcame the isolation of living alone and started volunteering each week at Refresh Café.
