Make content about: Omolara speaks out on hospice care

After facing cancer appointments alone, Omolara feared hospice care meant giving up until she found a team that saw her as a person.

This story

After moving from Nigeria to the UK to work as a carer, Omolara sought help for worsening back pain and learned her breast cancer had progressed. She attended appointments and began treatment largely on her own, during which time her mother also developed cancer in Nigeria and died. Now supported by a local hospice team for pain management, Omolara has regular care and speaks out to change how people view palliative support.

Where you could take it

Sit down with Omolara to talk about navigating cancer care on her own and why she wants to change perceptions around hospices.
