Make content about: Nahraine turned memories into art
Nahraine used a year-long studio fellowship in Bristol to turn childhood memories and conflict into layered paintings.
This story
Nahraine was selected for a graduate fellowship at an arts centre in Bristol, gaining studio space and mentorship to build her practice. During the year, a one-to-one studio visit with painter Michael reshaped how she approaches her work. She created a painting titled Hawaa, which brings together childhood memories and reflections on conflicts in Iraq and Lebanon. With the fellowship ending, she is now preparing for upcoming exhibitions and collaborative projects.
