Make content about: Michelle is running a half marathon

Hospice matron Michelle hated running, but in her mid-50s she began training for a half marathon to support her patients.

This story

Michelle has spent decades working in palliative care, from establishing home healthcare services in Saudi Arabia to overseeing inpatient wards at a hospice. Looking to improve her own health in her mid-50s, she took up running despite hating it, gradually building up from park runs to five kilometres. She is now preparing for a half marathon to help fund hospice beds and patient services, having reached seven miles in training.
