Make content about: Michael tends the gardens at his home

Decades after a childhood brain injury, Michael built a peaceful, fulfilling routine tending the gardens at his residential home.

This story

At the age of four, Michael sustained traumatic brain injuries in a road traffic accident and spent months in hospital. He later moved into Bradbury Wing in Godalming to receive specialist support for his epilepsy. Today, he fills his days tending the patio raised beds, working in the woodwork room, solving maths puzzles, and enjoying visits from family.

Where you could take it

Spend an afternoon with Michael at the Bradbury Wing patio to help him rake leaves and chat over a cup of tea.
