Make content about: Michael took his music to the stage

Michael was facing homelessness with only a stringless guitar, before supported housing helped him rebuild his confidence and perform on stage.

This story

After a traumatic childhood and a breakdown in foster care, Michael was facing homelessness at 21 and struggling with poor mental health. He was referred to supported accommodation, arriving with a few bags and a guitar with no strings. Staff helped him restring the instrument, work toward qualifications, and start performing music at open mic nights and an awards ceremony. He continues to work toward living independently and pursuing music.

Where you could take it

Join Michael for a guitar session as he plays music and talks about his plans for independent living.
