Make content about: Max shows his scars with pride
After severe scald burns as a toddler, Max had to relearn how to walk and embrace his scars.
This story
At two years old, Max toppled into a hot bath and sustained burns to his feet and left hand, requiring skin grafts and learning to walk again. As he grew, tightening scars made walking difficult until laser surgery in 2020 improved his movement. Now seven, he shows his scars with pride while awaiting his next round of laser treatment.

Sit down with Max and his family to talk about his recovery and how he shares his scars with pride.
