Make content about: Matthew and Lucy take big steps

Twins Matthew and Lucy faced daunting cerebral palsy diagnoses, but intensive therapy and surgeries are helping them build their independence.

This story

After missing developmental milestones, twins Matthew and Lucy were diagnosed with different forms of cerebral palsy. Surgeries in 2020 and 2022 helped Matthew take independent steps with a walking frame and Lucy learn to sit up and speak. Supported by community fundraising, both now take part in regular physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and hippotherapy as they work toward greater independence.
