Make content about: Marmite retired to a sanctuary
Marmite represented wartime pack animals at national memorials before moving to a sanctuary to enjoy a peaceful retirement.
This story
Bred and trained to be ridden by his owner, Marmite the mule helped honour animals in conflict at a veterans' reunion and the unveiling of a London memorial. When his owner's health made it impossible to continue providing daily care, he was offered a permanent home at an equine sanctuary. Today he spends his days grazing alongside new companions in retirement.
