Marie started volunteering with FoodCycle in 2021 to push past her shyness and give back to her local area. Balancing a full-time job recruiting and training bus drivers, she stepped up to become a project leader and has given hundreds of hours to the kitchen. Every Saturday she invents a new menu from whatever surplus vegetables and ingredients arrive that would otherwise go to landfill.
