Growing up, Maddie and her siblings faced constant uncertainty and hospital visits as their dad struggled with alcohol addiction. He developed serious health conditions and died in November 2021. Maddie now works for Phoenix Futures and is preparing to run the 2027 London Marathon to help others access support without shame.
