This story
After family difficulties left her sofa surfing with her belongings in bin bags, Lydia reached out to youth homelessness charity Roundabout. They helped her into a women-only hostel, where she stayed until she turned 18 and secured her own flat. She is now studying for a university degree, has rebuilt her relationship with her mother, and speaks to young people as a peer educator.
