After enduring bullying and name-calling in his final year of primary school, Louis felt overwhelmed, anxious, and terrified of starting secondary school. He was paired with a coach named Wendy, meeting every Wednesday lunchtime for a year to talk through his emotions and learn ways to cope. With consistent support, his confidence grew, and he went on to join a school media club and audition for a national talent show.
