Make content about: Lester still tends Cotswolds gardens

Lester tends mature Cotswolds gardens while working through tremors and pain after a Parkinson's diagnosis.

This story

After leaving the military, Lester retrained in horticulture and later moved to the Cotswolds with his partner Lynn. Following Lynn falling ill in 2020 and his own diagnosis with Parkinson's in 2024, he has continued working five-hour mowing shifts using adapted tools and frequent gym sessions to manage his symptoms. As the sole earner, he contacted Perennial for guidance as he plans an eventual shift into less physical work.

Where you could take it

Spend a morning with Lester in one of the gardens he tends to see the adapted tools and techniques he uses.
