Lee grew up in care from age three, moving more than twenty times before leaving at nineteen. After an eleven-year relationship ended, he struggled with depression and needed somewhere to live. He spent six years supported as a companion at Emmaus Coventry & Warwickshire, and recently moved into his own home and took a full-time van driving job with the charity.
