Make content about: Leanne rebuilt her independence
After escaping domestic abuse and living in one room, Leanne found the support she needed to rebuild her independence.
This story
After escaping domestic abuse, Leanne and her daughter lived in one room for three years while her daughter cared for her. Leanne, who has autism and had been in and out of mental health hospitals, waited two years for support and struggled to find the right person to hire. With guidance, she found a personal assistant who now helps her get out into the community, enrol in an art course, and stay out of hospital.
