In June 2026, Lauren lost her mum, Kim, to bowel cancer just weeks after her diagnosis. Cornwall Hospice Care looked after Kim and supported the family through her final weeks. Though she had never been a runner before, Lauren is now training to take on the London Marathon in April 2027.
