This story
Problems at home forced Laura to move into a refuge with her mother and siblings, and she lost two grandparents in the same year. The upheaval led her to leave college and give up her dream of training as a midwife. She joined a project supporting young people into work, took part in a residential trip, and completed a placement at a local hotel. Laura was taken on as an apprentice, earned qualifications, won awards, and continues to work at the hotel today.
