Make content about: Katy joined a clinical trial

Diagnosed with Parkinson's at 42, Katy joined a clinical trial to help find answers for her children's future.

This story

After noticing symptoms while running, Katy was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2021 at age 42. Because she carries a gene variant her children could inherit, she travelled to Oxford to volunteer for a clinical drug trial. With her symptoms now progressing more rapidly, she has joined a trial working group to help speed up new treatments.
