Make content about: Katie is rebuilding her independence

After incurable brain cancer left Katie unable to walk, she found a way to rebuild her independence.

This story

In 2023, a stroke revealed Katie's benign brain tumour had turned into aggressive, incurable brain cancer, leaving one side of her body not working. Believing hospices were only for the end of life, she was hesitant to seek help until visiting an open day at Keech Hospice. Through physiotherapy, palliative rehabilitation and a gardening group, she has regained strength and is now planning a return to work from home.
