Make content about: Joey drums through a rare condition

Joey lives with a rare condition and severe epilepsy, finding joy in loud music while his family fundraises for essential home adaptations.

This story

Eleven-year-old Joey has an unnamed rare gene mutation that causes severe, medicine-resistant epilepsy, limited mobility, and visual impairment. Although non-verbal, he communicates through sounds and expressions and loves playing hand drums. His family previously raised funds for specialist equipment and is now working to raise £15,000 to adapt their home as he grows.

Where you could take it

Meet Joey and his dad Chris at home to share his love of drumming and discuss the adaptations needed for his daily care.
