Make content about: Jim returned to paratriathlon

After losing his arm when he was hit by a lorry, Jim returned to international paratriathlon and his career fitting medical prosthetics.

This story

Jim was cycling when a lorry dragged him down the road, resulting in the traumatic amputation of his right arm and life-threatening organ damage. Following roadside surgery and six weeks in a coma, he had months of kidney dialysis before rebuilding his physical strength. Today, he has completed a marathon, placed third in the British Paratriathlon Championships, and returned to work as an NHS specialist fitting orthotics and prosthetics.

Where you could take it

Join Jim on a training run to talk through how he adapted his stride after limb loss and what his experience brings to his NHS patients.
