Make content about: Jess is training to be a doctor
Told her leukaemia symptoms were anxiety at 21, Jess reached remission and is now training to become a doctor.
This story
After doctors repeatedly dismissed her exhaustion and fevers as anxiety, Jess was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukaemia at 21 and placed in intensive care. She had to pause her plans and undergo months of treatment before reaching remission in 2023. She has since bought a home in Wales, volunteers for Blood Cancer UK, and is completing her first year of medical school.
