Make content about: Jay helps families understand autism

Jay used to feel physically sick speaking in front of others. Now they give talks to help families understand autism.

This story

Jay was 17 and felt deeply anxious around others, having previously felt physically sick whenever they had to speak in front of people at school. After joining a support programme, Jay gradually gained confidence, made friends, and travelled independently to go ice skating and share a meal in Birmingham. Jay has since gone on to deliver talks to parents and young people about understanding and accepting an autism diagnosis.
